THE ANATOMY OF A LEADER: 19 QUALITIES OF A LEADER

THE HEART
  1. The Heart is the Core of Your Being
It is the center of who you are and the seat of self-awareness.
  1. The Seat of Passion
It is the source of your vital signs (pulse).
  1. The Seat of Courage and Confidence
Courage is not the absence of fear but ability to forge ahead in spite of fear.
  1. The Seat of faith and Expectation
As a leader you see your heart first before you see with your eyes; it is the size of your heart that determine the size of your life.

THE MIND
  1. The Seat of your imagination
When you pray, you exercise your heart but when you think exercise your mind.
Your thinking is the gate keeper of your life. The better you are at thinking, the better you are at talking.
Thinking can be categorized into IMAGINATION- create the picture of the future and REFLECTION-learn from the past.
  1. The Seat of Creativity
Creativity is doing the common thing in an uncommon way.

THE HAND
  1. The Instrument of writing
Your writings are the legacies to the next generation.
  1. The Instrument of Enterprise and Achievement
  2. The Instrument of Service and Support
Your hand speaks of your productivity.

THE EYES
  1. The instrument of Vision.
To do the impossible, you must see the invisible.
  1. The Instrument of Perspective
Perspective helps you to understand what is really big and really small.
  1. The Instrument of Focus
Focus is when you are somewhere, you are 100%. Keep your dream in view.

THE EARS
  1. The Faculty of Listening
Great leaders are good leaders:  perfect example is Jesus Christ.
Listen to God; your Heart; things around you.
  1. The Faculty of Learning
Learning is to benefit from what you listen to.

THE MOUTH
  1. The Instrument of Communication
Words create feelings, picture, emotion and atmosphere.
Words carry creative and destructive power. Words are spiritual containers.
  1. The Source of Questions
Asking helps to think differently…ASK THE 5 W’s
  1. The Instrument of Compliment
True leaders appreciate and encourage people.
To keep yourself humble, you must be grateful.
Learn to communicate ACCEPTANCE, AFFIRMATION and APPRECIATION.
Flattery reinforces mediocrity.

THE SHOULDERS
  1. The Seat of Responsibility.
Responsibility is the price of Greatness.
  1. The Seat of Comradeship.
Shoulder-to-Shoulder is about Synergy.
